MOTHER'S DAY 2008

This is the gift our church gave to our Mother's .Inside each bag was a beautiful frame with the verse Proverbs 31:28 a tube of Avon hand lotion, and a sachet. The frame was a very unique gift because the money for this gift is going to a woman who is trying to adopt. Heidi Weingard Echols and her husband are trying to adopt children from Columbia and she was making these frames to raise the money for the adoption . They are very beautiful and what a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's day by helping someone to be able to become a mother. Thank You so much Heidi we certainly will be praying for you all. We also gave a slide presentation of all the Mother's I will post that on the next post.

Mother's day presentation

We honored several Mother's The first 3 were our Mom's with Son's in the military(Kristal Becker,Karen Mills and Ruth Hooper)
We have 4 men serving at this time one is presently in Iraq two of the men are back from Iraq and one is in training . I was reading letters that their son's gave to me. The ladies were very surprised and I don't think there was a dry eye in the congregation. The other Mother's that we recognized was the one with the most bird feeders (Debbie Hoschar)Oldest(Blanche Murphy), attending the church the longest (Ruby Sohn)and the newest mom(Sarah Susan)

Below are a few pictures of the ladies getting their gifts. The special gifts were the hanging baskets in the background.

Laura Hausman and Heather Dickinson sang a special Mother's day song

Karen Mill's sang a beautiful special song.
